Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

A little journey, made for you — with every step a small dua.

As-salāmu ʿalayki,
Sidrah Begum

Peace be upon you. Before there were promises between us, there was a prayer: that Allah would choose the right one, and soften two hearts toward one another.

He heard it. And so, here we are.

The word was given

Our families sat together, and a promise was made — quiet, sincere, witnessed by our elders and by the One above them all. Baat paki: the word made firm on 28th July 2026.

And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, so that you may find tranquility in them — and He placed between you love and mercy. Surely in that are signs for a people who reflect.

— Sūrah Ar-Rūm, 30:21

Tranquility. Love. Mercy. This is what I ask Allah to make of us.

A dua for us

Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our children the coolness of our eyes, and make us a guide for the righteous.

— Sūrah Al-Furqān, 25:74

Raise your hands, and say it with me.

A letter, for your eyes

Tap to open it.

To my Sidrah

By the time your eyes reach these words, my heart has already said them a hundred times over. I do not know all the days that are coming — but I know I want to meet them beside you.

You came into my life the way rain comes to dry earth — quietly, and then everything is greener. I promise to be gentle with your heart, patient with your worries, and grateful for you out loud, not just in silence.

I ask Allah to make me the kind of husband the Prophet ﷺ described as the best — the best to his family. And I ask Him to make you the coolness of my eyes, and to let us grow old on the same path, still choosing each other.

Whatever this world gives or withholds, let us hold to Him, and to each other. That is my whole plan.

Yours, before the nikah and after it,
— Mirza Areeb Baig

Six promises

Turn each one over.

Will you walk with me
toward our nikah?

Not because it is written — but because I would choose you again, and again, bi’idhnillah.

(One of these buttons is a little shy.)

May Allah bless you, and send blessings upon you, and join you both in goodness.

Until our nikah, insha’Allah

Until then — and long after — I am yours.
